At Rakus Clinic, we use Syneron’s Aurora and Polaris platforms, powered by ELOS® technology, which blends intense pulsed light (IPL) and radiofrequency (RF) into a single treatment. This dual-energy approach enables effective skin rejuvenation, pigmentation correction, vascular lesion removal and hair removal—with high safety, comfort and minimal downtime.
The revolutionary ELOSâ„¢ technology behind Aurora and Polaris utilise a unique combination of electric energy (conducted RF) and optical energy (diode laser or light, depending on the application), with controlled external cooling. It maximises the synergy of the two energies and also maximises RF utilisation, ensuring unmatched safety, efficacy and patient comfort in the treatment of multiple aesthetic medical challenges.
The Aurora and Polaris systems allow us to address:
Pigmentation, redness, texture abnormalities, hair reduction and acne control—all from one device.
Thanks to reduced optical energy assisted by RF, it is safe even on darker or tanned skin.
High safety standards and built-in contact cooling.
For skin tightening and texture improvement, with visible effects in days.
ELOS® works in two synergistic stages:
Optical energy (IPL or diode light) preheats target chromophores—pigmented lesions, blood vessels or hair follicles.
Radiofrequency energy, conducted into preheated areas, heats deeper dermal structures while preserving epidermis. Cooling ensures comfort and safety. The combination leads to selective destruction of lesions or follicles, while stimulating collagen and elastin. In acne treatment, the thermal effect reduces sebaceous gland activity and bacterial load. For hair removal, the vortex RF heating permanently disables follicles—even lighter or fine hairs.
Pigmentation & vascular clearance are visible within 1–3 weeks, usually after 1–4 sessions.
Texture & tone improvement builds through collagen remodelling over weeks and months.
Hair reduction requires 4–6 sessions spaced every 4–8 weeks, depending on hair thickness and cycle.
Acne control improves gradually with fewer lesions and reduced oiliness. Maintenance treatments may be required for long-term benefits
Yes—it’s safe and effective across Fitzpatrick I–VI skin types, including tanned and darker skin tones.
1–4 for pigmentation or vascular concerns; 4–6 for hair removal; acne typically requires multiple treatments over weeks.
Mostly comfortable—patients report mild snapping or warmth. Cooling gel and external cooling increases comfort.
None—minor redness or mild crusting may occur but recedes quickly. Make-up is usually fine within hours.
Absolutely—ELOS® effectively treats broken capillaries, rosacea redness and small vascular lesions.
It achieves long-term reduction; multiple sessions needed to disable follicles across growth cycles.
Yes—it stimulates collagen for smoother, tighter skin with reduced pore visibility.
Is there any special aftercare?
Post-treatment avoid strong heat, exfoliants, retinoids, and sun exposure. Apply SPF 30+ and soothe skin with gentle skincare.
